![]() At night, around 7hPM, weeks or week-ends, you can buy small chicken kebabs cooked on a BBQ for GHS 5cedis ( $ US 1, 32) but they come with nothing.Īnother thing that I find very annoying is the loud music. As for the wine, it is just outrageous: a GHS 30 cedis bottle ($US 8) sold in stores for the simpliest white wine costs.GHS 100 cedis there ($ US 27) and they offen only want to sell by the bottle and not by the glass.īesides that, the food is just acceptable, especially the pizza and the kebabs which are your best bets. Nothing fancy, not well cooked but quite expensive for what you get. This is not a restaurant but more a pub style food place with pizzas, burgers, kebabs, things like that. It's just unbelievable! I have never seen a manager there nor the ownerand all your complaints will be useless.Īs a matter of fact, if I write this review it's only for the travelers as I believe that nobody in there cares nor read TripAdvisor.Īll the plates are served with hot pepper (chili) so make sure that you ask that your food has no pepper and REPEAT IT several times, Insist! They will take forever to bring you a lemon juice or a glass of wine and, oftenm I just go to the bar to get the drinks myself, They just don't care at all about the clients and are more interrested about watching TV, talking to one another or just not doing anything at all. Indeed, I have eaten many times at Bedouin Pool Lounge but it's a pain each time as the waiters are the lazyiest, most discourteous waiters I have EVER seen! I wonder how they can have a job there or anywhere else.Įventhough they all know me by now, each time, it is a battle to get the menu or enjoy a meal. The pool is superb, costs GHS 30 cedis for each time you go swimming ($ US 8!) and the soccer fields. Lizzy Sports Complex has been my sports center for the past 3 months and I go there at least twice a week to swim. First impressions are lasting impressions, so thank you "Cary" for leaving one on me of your employer.Īll in all, the beers were cold, salteñas took over an hour to prepare (which I slightly empathize over as Bolivians love their salteñas on Sundays, yet I can't disregard how puny in size they are) and could be considered average at best. But, as a graduate working in the service industry (Panera, Walgreeens, etc), I just couldn't find a reason for her to justify her demeanor after I politely pointed out the differences in price. Now, granted it's only a 2 dollar difference, which I don't mind at all. ![]() After being ignored multiple times to order some drinks (the bar was not at all busy, especially given the fact that it was a Sunday afternoon), she proceeded to give me and my girlfriend the snarliest attitude, that we have encountered in all of my time of going to bars in the greater NYC area, after I attempted to correct a discrepancy in prices for a beer ($5 on the menu, I paid $12 for two). First and definitely my last.īe particularly weary of one bartender "Cary," whom spoiled me and my girlfriend's experience there from the very beginning. I've heard Kabu mentioned by relatives countless times (due in part to it being the plug for salteñas-which I will get to momentarily), thus I was looking forward to my first time there. I am hesitant to write this due to the fact that the place is a popular spot amongst my beloved Bolivian people.
